ABOUT BEN

I have spent over 20 years in various levels of management of nuclear operations and business across multiple Government contractors and agencies. I am currently an executive on a $10 billion Government contract where I am responsible for the project and financial management across all of our Government funded work. Outside of work, I am involved in multiple community activities including serving on the Executive Board for the United Way of Eastern Idaho. 

I have supported my son and daughter in multiple sports as they have grown, including as a youth football coach for my son's teams. Although I did not play hockey growing up, my family have become avid hockey fans and advocates as both of our children have learned to play and developed a love for the sport. Through my involvement with the Upper Valley Grid Kid football program my wife and I identified an opportunity to establish a more inclusive youth hockey program in Eastern Idaho, and working with the other dedicated volunteers we founded the Snake River Youth Hockey Association to provide a cost-effective option for local ice hockey participation. Like the other SRYHA volunteers, my wife and I have happily dedicated our time, skills, and resources to giving back to the youth of this community through the startup and operation of this new model for youth hockey in the region. We are thrilled with the current success of the Yetis program and we look forward to continuing to support its growth. Go YETIS!

ABOUT APRIL

With over 15 years of experience in nuclear facility management, I have built a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy professional in the field. Holding a degree in civil engineering, I have spent a significant portion of my career ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of nuclear facilities, earning the trust of government agencies and colleagues alike.

In addition to my technical expertise, I am deeply committed to community engagement, especially in the realm of youth sports. As Vice President of the Snake River Youth Hockey Association, I play a key role in supporting and growing the hockey community, fostering an environment where young athletes can thrive both on and off the ice. Over the years, I have dedicated time as a youth soccer coach, where my leadership and mentorship have helped shape the athletic and personal development of countless young players.

Though I spent many years playing and coaching soccer, it is in the sport of hockey where I have found a deep passion in recent years. My family joined the hockey community in 2023 and it has quickly become more than just a sport. Hockey is a way to connect with others and develop valuable life skills. 

As a dedicated professional, family member, and community leader, I embody the values of reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion for helping others succeed, both in their personal and athletic pursuits.

ABOUT DARBY

As the Treasurer of SRYHA, I am responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring that resources are managed effectively and efficiently to support the growth and success of our youth hockey program. With a strong background in accounting and business management, I bring a wealth of experience to the role, helping to maintain transparency and accountability in all financial matters.

As both a parent and passionate supporter of youth sports, I am committed to providing our young athletes with the opportunity to develop both on and off the ice. Beyond the numbers, I work closely with the board and staff to ensure that the organization’s financial resources are aligned with its mission of fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship in the next generation of hockey players.

When not focused on the organization’s finances, I enjoy reading, curating vintage and antique furniture and home décor, spending weekends camping and tending to my yard. 

ABOUT KRYSTINA

As the proud parent of four kids, all of whom started playing hockey at the age of 3, my family and I are no strangers to the rink! We got into hockey after relocating from Florida, searching for a winter activity that was both fun and meaningful for our kids. Over the years, hockey has become a huge part of our lives, and you’ll likely find us at the rink more often than not. We love cheering on the Spud Kings and have made countless lifelong friendships through our Yeti Hockey family. I’m excited to be serving as the league’s secretary and look forward to helping the league grow and thrive for years to come!

ABOUT STACI

Stacy Farnan serves as the registrar for the team, bringing her passion for organization and community to the rink. Married for 19 years, she and her husband are proud parents of two-Emmett, who plays hockey, and Harper, who figure skates. Stacy homeschools her children and loves watching them grow, learn, and pursue their passions on and off the ice. Outside of hockey, she enjoys flower gardening, hiking, and camping with her family. Dedicated to supporting families and kids, Stacy is committed to helping young athletes thrive both in sports and in life.
